Registration and Product Survey process

SAIL provides the following services in support of the administration and compliance monitoring of the EELQMS Lubricant Marketers' Letter of Conformance registration process:

  1. Support to ATIEL and to the companies wishing to submit the EELQMS Lubricant Marketers' Letter of Conformance and coordination of the Registration process of all LoC signatories. SAIL also manages the EELQMS Trademark licencing process on behalf of ATIEL;
  2. Monitoring of the sample Analysis process. In conjunction with the Technical Experts Committee (TEC), SAIL develops detailed survey plans that are carried out with the support of an independent 3rd party laboratory responsible for sample collection and analysis;
  3. Support for the execution of the product Survey process and ensuring confidentiality of information. SAIL acts as the intermediary between TEC and the Marketer in every step of the survey process, protecting the anonymity of all stakeholders and the products under review;
  4. Where the outcome of the product survey process does not deliver a mutually satisfactory result, SAIL co-ordinates any follow up actions. This may include the initiation of an Appeals and Sanctions process . In this case, SAIL also provides its services as intermediary between all parties involved in the process (e.g. Marketer, TEC and ASB) and is responsible for protecting the anonymity of all stakeholders and products under review. SAIL also assists in implementing sanctions.
